No problem in TF2. Also, I'm out of linux games to try it on.
No problems on my laptop running 32bit 12.10.
What version of Mesa library you have installed?
9.0+ is requirement.
Check https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valve#Intel_Graphics
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.0
Try newer Mesa, 9.0.1?
Other ppl with HD4000 are probably not affected.
Same here,
after some time of playing, many HUD graphics get broken (weapons at top), radar, kill history(top right), timer, hp, ammo etc. sometimes only parts of these are broken sometimes all is broken. Once even a weapon model was completely gray (when i was holding it and when it was laying on ground).
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) Ivybridge Mobile
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 9.0
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
ubuntu12.10 64bit
I can confirm this with Intel HD Ironlake.
Did somebody try this out with mesa 9.0.1? I missed this and will try it as soon as possible.
Yeah, just updated to Mesa 9.1 (xorg edgers, also brought me OS Stability
issues..) it fixed the weird texture bugs in the games I tried. Half-Life and Counter-Strike. :)
@jooiiee: Since you mentioned that the overlay (shift + tab) appears to be related, can you retest this issue after updating your steam client? Valve released an update on Feb 8th that fixes issues with the overlay on Intel graphics. (See also #190).
Problem fixed.
Do you have all the problems or just the text problem? If only the text
problem, post in #1547 and leave this closed.
@jooiiee I have both issue
@revo4ever Do you have more screenshots? I dont see the other problems.
@jooiiee Yes i have some picture that shows the cut chat and the horrible font
also there's a cut on name when i spectating someone like this :
look at the name under Score TAB :
and there is no _ symbol
Nothing extracted yet.
Several graphics problems seems to be related to the steam in game overlay.
bug appears as:

Mousepointer seen in all pictures is not a bug, just the sceenshot tool.
It would seem that the problems are all related to the ingame overlay. After opening using shift + tab effects are instant. All problems does not occur all the time but there is some kind of problem every time. The texture problem gets worse the more I play, after some time major parts of de_nuke was all grey or black.
The texture problem did not occur on de_inferno but theory is not confirmed.
HUD problem did not occur on de_nuke but theory is not confirmed.
Will test more maps as time progresses.
Maps tested:
de_dust2 - texture and hud problems
de_inferno - hud problems
de_nuke - texture and radar problems
No problems were reproduced if the overlay was not opened.
