I turned it off, nothing changed
Hello @display-inline-flex, we're tracking issues with games run with Proton in the Proton issue tracker. Also, we're using one issue report per unofficially supported game title, so I've gone ahead and transferred this issue report to https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/4#issuecomment-2604790043.
Game launched via compatibility tool: Steam Play
I running Skyrim on Fedora Linux.
I enabled Proton Experimental and experimented with various graphics settings, but the issue persists.
The game consistently freezes and stops working approximately two minutes after launch, regardless of whether I'm in the main menu, the mods menu, or actively playing.
I have Steam installed via dnf. I tried different versions of Proton, including Proton-GE, and also attempted to run it through Bottles. However, the result remained the same.
I also tried verifying the integrity of the game files and clearing the cache.
