I can confirm this bug running steam on ARCH Linux x64..
This is not a duplicate of #16. DEFCON and Multiwinia are both on the supported games list and thus should actually download.
The supported game list:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8495-OKZC-0159
I've purchased the "Introversion Package" including the Soundtracks of Defcon and Darwinia. The Soundtrack of Defcon has been downloaded, but as stated above, no game content.
Purchased DEFCON for Linux, apparently no files download... game is unable to start due to missing game executable. Bad.
This was an issue with the store configuration of the Complete Introversion Pack only and has been fixed. Purchases of DEFCON itself were not affected and should be downloading the entire game.
Let us know if the issue still persists.
@frankc-valve Still not working for me with DEFCON. I purchased it individually during one of the holiday sales. I've deleted local content for the game and then selected "Install game", however the download finishes immediately and the local game folder is empty.
@frankc-valve DEFCON works! But no data for Multiwinia
I still cannot play DEFCON (purchased from a humble bundle). I have tired verifying the came cache and deleting/re-downloading the game but still get the missing exec error.
@james147, this fix only applies to people who purchased the Complete Introversion Pack (CIP). In your case, you purchased DEFCON from an earlier package and therefore, it is an earlier version than the one offered by CIP or the individual game itself.
I am having the same issue as advancingu (purchased individually a few weeks ago, still not working).
For me: Defcon does not install! I purchased individually in december 2012.
I know this is closed, but it isn't working at the moment for people who bought the complete pack before March 2012.
If you look here: http://cdr.xpaw.ru/app/1520/#section_subs you can see two subscriptions labeled "Introversion Complete Pack". Only the March 2012 version (14002) has the required Linux depot included, the older one (4603) doesn't. Some of the other subscriptions also do not have the Linux depot.
I've got a Humble Introversion Bundle key as well, so I'm going to try adding that to see if it will work. Is there any way that the depot can be linked to the game, not the particular subscription?
Note: I also have the "Defcon Beta" game (id 1525), which could, I suppose, be interfering as well.
Cheers,
-- David
Multiwinia still does not downloading any data, linux x64
tested also on windows, and it works on windows
When you right click the game, view it's properties on Linux, do you see a beta available?
yes, but it require code
@sulix is probably right regarding the multiple apps, but those betas are also why the game is showing as downloadable to begin with.
so, is here any solution to play game ?, it's in supported list
